About the APPG on
Black Health
The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Black Health is a cross-party parliamentary group committed to Informing Policy and Practice to Achieve Equity in Healthcare. The group is chaired by Paulette Hamilton MP and secretariat provided by the Caribbean & African Health Network (CAHN).
To create a forum to raise political awareness of stark health inequalities disproportionately impacting Black Caribbean and African people in the UK, and to advocate for actions to reduce health inequalities. To stimulate dialogue, drive evidence-based research, policy development, and promote equitable healthcare access and outcomes through influencing policy and practice.
The APPG is committed to engaging with policymakers, healthcare stakeholders, experts, community organisations and other parliamentary groups to drive research, policy recommendations, and reforms. Together, we work to address healthcare disparities and improve health outcomes for Black communities across the UK.
The current work programme of the APPG is Funded by The Health Foundation.
